WILDABOUT welcome you to the Miu Miu club. Located at the Automobile Club de France and decorated with black, red, white and pink stripes was the SS18 runway. As the clothes began to flow out of the shadows we got a glimpse of what Miu Miu’s latest collection had in store for us all.

Walking for the Miu Miu Croisiere SS18 show were faces such as Lily McMenamy, Bella Hadid, Adwoa Aboah and Kendall Jenner. All wearing a ray of bold patterns and colours. Many of the designs reminded me of the races. 60’s racing suits with a more modern twist embellished with patches advertising petrol stations and other big companies that sponsor the races.
I adore the attention to detail within Miu Miu’s new collection too. Returning to the theme of the races, there were many patterns such as the black and white checkered racing flag, decorated to most of their designs. It even featured on a pair of their heels. A few of the garments were also ornamented with adorable illustrations. Some were of girls holding racing flags and others were speaking through mega phones. Mounted on pastel pinks and baby blues, these beautifully detailed patterns gave the look a feminine and girly touch.
It wasn’t all about the races this season as there were other styles and patterns that came along the catwalk too. The flowery jackets gave out bursts of colour. Whilst the figure of each outfit gave quite an 80’s vibe to some of the designs. Big fluffy shawls and oversized jackets fixed with giant glamorous belts is what the 80’s were all about. What makes Miu Miu’s collections so distinctive and quirky are their use of many different colours and motifs, and of course a mix of the old and the new.
Miu Miu haven’t only just taken us on a trip to the races. They have amazed us yet again with the sheer excellence of each and every outfit they create. And I’m sure they will proceed to create many more in the near future. But for now lets craze over this latest SS18 collection for a little longer.
